Christina Wong is a textile graduate from the Glasgow School of Art who focuses on creating self-forming three-dimensional woven textiles. Her approach to innovation is driven by material and technical research to exploit the full potential of materials. To push the boundaries of warp and weft, her comprehensive combinations of fibres allows controlled textures through the enhancement of natural properties of the materials and structure of the textiles.
She also uses her design skills as a form of activism to highlight how sustainability empowers creativity rather than restricts design opportunities. By thoroughly reflecting on her design practice, she actively researches and develops ways to engage with different audiences to address the importance of sustainability in the creative industry.
Being a Fashion Revolution ambassador, she has hosted seminars, workshops and discussions to advocate for a better and sustainable Fashion and Textile industry.
